Join Lighthouse SUP for Stand-Up Paddleboard at the Oyster Creek Boathouse, located at 15910 Creekbend Drive, Sugar Land, 77478. Introductory, intermediate and advanced lessons for ages 7 to 65 are offered on Saturday and Sunday through November 29 from 9:00 a.m.– 10:30 a.m. at a cost of $50.00 per person. Schedule is subject to change by Lighthouse SUP. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a positive attitude. Wear light colored clothing. Instruction provided by Marshall Brown.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED

American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course provides the knowledge and skills that may help save a life.  It offers the basics of first aid for the most common life-threatening emergencies.

Who should take Heartsaver:  Anyone who needs a course completion card for work, regulatory or other requirements.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

BLS teaches the concepts of high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics.

Who should take BLS:  Healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.

Water Aerobics

Water aerobics is a great way to gain cardiovascular fitness and strength in a low impact manner.  Water aerobics places less stress on the joints than land based aerobics classes.  This class is good for all fitness levels.  Water weights are optional.

Texas Snakes – We give snakes the respect they deserve!

Hands-on, entertaining and educational reptile class! You will get a chance to interact with reptiles from all over the world, like turtles, lizards, tortoises, and of course, SNAKES! You’ll learn about snake safety, and see snake skeletons, sheds, and posters to learn more about these scaly creatures!

Survival Tactics

Wrapped in games and adventure, unique challenges await you.  During survival situations, the four basic needs become shelter, water, fire, and food.  By introducing basic techniques, your child will learn how to purify water, signal for help, leave no trace camping, signal for help, first aid, search for edible food, set up shelter, learn Army chants, and more!  Team Survival games will keep the training light-hearted and fun!  Essential skills for all- designed for kids who like to work and play outside! Design principles in the areas of sketching, color & pattern coordination, costume design and fashion history will be applied to their personal style and portfolio.  Designs come to life with beautifully patterned papers, yards and yards of ribbons, colorful sequins, glitzy jewels, glamorous feathers and oodles of other embellishments.  Students will be grouped into “Design Teams” for a variety of fun, engaging activities such as White Wedding and Fashion Show-down.  Make new friends and build on your talented expression with personalized fashion.

A day camp filled with all the things every youth needs and wants to “create” the perfect summer.  Our “creative” staff provides the instruction and all the materials for everyone to complete a day full of projects.  Your child will embark on a day creating projects, learning the art of survival with survival tactics, theater arts, music, and art projects and techniques.  Children will benefit by promoting self-esteem, motivation, aesthetic awareness, cultural exposure, creativity, as well as social harmony and appreciation of diversity. CR8 helps students to see what they look at, hear what they listen to, and feel what they touch. The focus of this creative camp is to express feelings through imaginative, innovative and original arts and skills.

Circus Arts Camp

An experience designed to introduce children to circus, performing, and visual arts in a safe and noncompetitive environment.  Any level of physical development & skill is welcome.  Your camper will receive circus arts instruction and have the time of their life learning to perform with silks, special hoops and loops, the art of magic, balloon art and get all fancy with clown face painting.  It’s the greatest camp on Earth and your child can be part of the fun!

No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innovative program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidance of a certified educator. Building Brains – Lego Engineering II (Ages 6-12)

Learn to build simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then motorize these machines using LEGO and K’NEX educational kits and curriculum while building math and science (S.T.E.M.) skills.  Each day we will build several new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. Written engineering curriculum reinforces the classroom curriculum with hands on education. We will also utilize Pneumatic and Solar Energy. Students will understand why a machine works and will learn how to manipulate a machine to go faster or slower.  Fine motor skills, critical thinking skills; imagination and confidence will increase in this fun-filled class.  Our kids are under construction! Final Day of camp is a show and tell for parents to see everything we have built this week.
