Art is everywhere! Look around You. You can find art while digging in the dirt, looking up at the sky, watching storms and while relaxing at the beach! Everything we make is fun: sunset silhouettes, Aboriginal dot art, beach drawings, sculptures, and 3D art. Join us and explore a variety of art techniques while we make connections with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math concepts.

Using a variety of art tools, we will create diamonds, lost ships, crowns, pirate portraits and much more. Follow our treasure map to find the FUN!

Travel with us on this creative journey and change the way you see the world! Create 3D masterpieces inspired by world cultures. Learn about Chinese ceramics, Croatian licitar hearts, Maori design carvings from New Zealand, nicho boxes from Mexico and much more. Create art using a variety of materials, play games and understand that through art we can connect with people from all over the world.

Get ready for some wet and sandy fun! Design your own sun visor, move to the party music, and create some incredible underwater art! Learn about the world-famous sidewalk chalk artist Julian Beevers while we create unique sidewalk designs. We will transport to a virtual tropical paradise where we will create the perfect wave, design fish, and create watercolor seascapes like artist Heather Brown and more. Surf’s up! Come and catch this summer wave.

Building Brains – Lego Engineering I (Ages 3-5)

Building Brains uses LEGO and K’NEX educational kits to build math and science skills (S.T.E.M.). Students will build simple machines that really work, using gears, levers, and pulleys, while building fine motor skills, sequential thinking skills, problem solving skills and confidence. Projects include Cars, Tops, Merry Go Rounds, Drills, Mixers, Cranes, Conveyor Belts, and more. We are not just building…We are building brains!

Building Brains – Lego Engineering II (Ages 6-12)

Learn to build simple machines using gears, levers and pulleys and then motorize these machines using LEGO and K’NEX educational kits and curriculum while building math and science (S.T.E.M.) skills. Each day we will build several new simple machines and conduct experiments to see how well they perform. We will utilize Pneumatic and Solar Energy. Students will understand why a machine works and will learn how to manipulate a machine to go faster or slower. The final day of camp is a show and tell for parents to see everything we have built this week.

Drones and Lego Workshop

So, you say you have done it all with Lego? Learn to fly one of our Drones! Merging the best advanced science and technology projects with the wonder of flight. A hands-on learning approach providing innovation and adventure. A certified instructor will facilitate, but students and flight squads will create compete and expand their creativity skills. This class will surely inspire all Lego enthusiasts. Exercise your Lego skills in ways you have not done before! No drone needed.

Lego Expert

So, you say you have done it all with Lego? Let Lego Expert teach you otherwise! Activity based STEM projects and kits that will incorporate physical science, and math all into one. Instructors will facilitate, but students will do the creating! Give your creation the most torque and battle in the robotic tournaments! Real world team building activities will enhance their engineering skill sets. Beginning coding you can see, hear, and even chase across the room. Race against the clock and other teams to be the best Lego expert around!

Lego Mania

No builder can say “Lego my Lego!” when engaged in the creative activities of LEGO MANIA! This innovative program for Lego buffs provides opportunities for imagination and hands-on learning under the guidance of a certified Texas educator. Over 15 new games, STEM kits, projects and activities not found in stores will be planned and manipulated. Enrichment in the areas of personal creativity, following instructions, eye-hand coordination, problem solving, critical thinking and learning will be experienced as the child can construct dinosaurs, rockets, castles, airplanes, forts, cars, and more!

Lego Science & Technology Life Skills

Bring young technicians into a creative, engineering environment. Not found in stores, the special Lego Logo kits provide extraordinary opportunities for the hands-on construction. Under the guidance of a Texas certified educator, along with detailed technical plans to follow, the participant will build robots, traffic lights, race cars, four-by-four trucks, cranes, pulleys, levers, and more during this energized week of discovery with Lego! Motivated by fun, creativity, and success, young builders will expand their knowledge of math, science, and STEM technology in an exploratory hands-on cooperative environment.

Lego Designer

Come and exercise your Lego skills here in ways you have not done before! The unique collection of Lego kits not found in stores and special STEM projects will captivate minds. Careful guidance from a Texas certified teacher will allow students to flourish with ideas and overcome obstacles. Individual and team projects will provide opportunities for your child to expand their creativity and social skills as they work toward common goals. This class will surely inspire all Lego enthusiasts.

Lego Full Day STEM Math and Science Technology Camp

Come and let a certified teacher of the State of Texas show you what you do not know about Lego kits you have never seen and what they can do. Be ready for an all-day adventure of problem solving using and developing real life engineering skills. The total hands-on experience all Lego Builders will enjoy!

Join Lighthouse SUP for Stand-Up Paddleboard at the Oyster Creek Boathouse, located at 15910 Creekbend Drive, Sugar Land, 77478. Lessons for ages 7 to 65 are offered on Saturday. Class times offered are 9:00 am – 10:30 am or 10:45 am – 12:15 pm. Cost of $60.00 per person. Schedule is subject to change by Lighthouse SUP. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a positive attitude. Wear light colored clothing. Instruction provided by Marshall Brown.
