Santa’s Exchange/Toys for Tots

Santa’s Exchange and Toys for Tots have joined forces to provide toys to more than 5,000 children in Fort Bend County this Christmas.

Sugar Land Exchange Club, Sugar Land Rotary Club, and Fort Bend Exchange Club are partnering with Project SMILE, Toys for Tots and the community. You are invited to participate by donating a new, unwrapped toy at the office of First Colony Services Community Association, 4350 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land, 77479. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Deadline for donations is Wednesday, December 16th.

Pickleball Courts in FCCSA

Have you ever heard of pickleball but wondered what it is and how to play? FCCSA would like to introduce a sport growing in popularity nationwide, pickleball. Pickleball is a mix between ping-pong, badminton and tennis. The game is easy to play and can be played by players with little to no experience.

Pickleball courts are smaller than standard tennis courts which allows younger players and players with limited mobility the opportunity to participate. The sport has become very popular with senior adults and is growing on high school and college campuses as well.

FCCSA has built two new courts located at the Lexington Colony facility at 1314 Sheffield Dr. If you have a tennis key already, that key will work on the pickleball courts also. If you do not have a key, you can pick it up at the FCCSA main office at 4350 Austin Parkway. The cost is a $20 […]

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Show us your decorating skills for a chance to win! The pumpkin can be carved, painted, or decorated in any way you like – use your imagination! There will be 3 categories.

  • Category 1: 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. Up to 5 years old
  • Category 2: 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. 6 years – 12 years old
  • Category 3: 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. 13 years and up

Submit a close-up picture of your decorated pumpkin and a photo of the artist with the pumpkin to Alice Fish at by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 28th. Make sure you include the name, FCCSA address, and age of the person decorating the pumpkin. Winners will be announced on Friday, October 30th.

Winners will receive a prize and their pumpkins will be shown in the December newsletter.

Paper Shredding Event- October 10th

The holidays will be approaching before you know it. What better way to start off the season then by getting rid of your clutter! First Colony Community Services Association (FCCSA) is hosting a FREE paper shredding event on Saturday, October 10th from 9 am – 12 pm or until the trucks are full. Items accepted are all paper, file folders, hanging files, notepads and envelopes. There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners or rubber bands. Unacceptable items include newspapers, magazines, catalogs, plastic bags, electronics and x-rays. Your items will be shredded by PROShred Security on-site. Overnight Construction Activity: Thursday, August 6 beginning at 11:00 p.m.

Please be aware that major construction activity on the FBCLID 2 Third Pump Station will require overnight work hours. On Thursday, August 6 at 11:00 p.m. work will begin to pour the pump station foundation. The foundation is 3 feet deep, and the large pour will require over 200 truckloads of concrete. The foundation placement is a critical construction activity that requires continuous work until all the concrete is placed. First Colony Community Services Association Office Update

The First Colony Community Services Association (FCCSA) office has been closed to visitors due to the COVID-19 virus.

As we continue social distancing, we ask visitors to make an appointment first if you wish to speak in person with a staff member. You can call the office main number at 281-634-9500 and the receptionist will direct your call to that person to make your appointment.

If you need to pick-up items such as pool tags or a tennis key, you do not need an appointment. For these visits please note the following:

  • Only up to three (3) visitors allowed at a time in the office.
  • Face mask is recommended.
  • Always allow up to 6 ft for social distancing.
  • Proof of FCCSA membership is required for pool tag pick-up (i.e. driver’s license, utility bill or lease agreement).
  • Pool tags are for 1 household only. No guests are allowed at this time.
