The holidays will be approaching before you know it. What better way to start off the season then by getting rid of your clutter! First Colony Community Services Association (FCCSA) is hosting a FREE paper shredding event on Saturday, October 10th from 9 am – 12 pm or until the trucks are full. Items accepted are all paper, file folders, hanging files, notepads and envelopes. There is no need to remove staples, paperclips, fasteners or rubber bands. Unacceptable items include newspapers, magazines, catalogs, plastic bags, electronics and x-rays. Your items will be shredded by PROShred Security on-site. With more than 25 years of trusted mobile paper shredding experience and rigorous commitment to ISO 9001 and NAID AAA quality standards, PROSHRED has pioneered one of the most effective systems for document destruction and on-site shredding services. Drops are limited to six (6) boxes or garbage bags per FCCSA household. Boxes & plastic bags need to be taken back with you. Because of COVID -19, you will not be able to park and watch your items be shredded. This is a drive thru only. You will need to drive thru, stop your car by the PROSHRED truck where we will ask you to stay in your car and open your trunk, we will empty your bags or boxes, and put your bags or boxes back in your trunk and then close your trunk so you can be on your way. We want to keep this as safe as possible for our residents and for PROSHRED staff and FCCSA staff. The trucks will be at the FCCSA parking lot located at 4350 Austin Parkway, Sugar Land.
