Stay Safe in City Parks & Pools

An adept thief can break in and steal valuable property in less than 10 seconds. Crooks look for attractive targets at fitness clubs, stores and shopping areas. Parks & pools are also a hot spot for vehicle burglaries.

Help the Police Department by following these common sense procedures:

·         Secure vehicles by rolling up windows and locking doors.

·         Leave valuables at home.

·         If valuable can’t be left at home, secure belongings in the trunk or glove box before arriving in the parking lot. If thieves see someone securing items, they may be their target.

·         Only use the parks & pools during posted hours.

·         Carry a cell phone.

·         Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

·         Immediately report suspicious activity to police.
