A Master Plan is a comprehensive long range plan intended to guide growth and development of a community. It provides a general vision and guide to determine needs and goals and develop strategies to address those needs and meet those goals for the future. It allows for a significant amount of flexibility. The plan must be able to respond to change as well as guide it. The redevelopment efforts outlined in the Amenities Master Plan (which can be found on the home page on the drop down menu) is just that; a plan. Currently, the plan has been accepted by the Association's Board of Directors, but all of its recommendations have not been approved. At this time only funding for phase one construction has been allocated, which includes adding an additonal pool at the Aquatic Center, the addition of a summer kitchen at Hertiage Colony Clubhouse, and updates to Edgewater Park. With the help of member input, the Board and staff can create state-of-the-art recreation facilities for all First Colony residents to enjoy for many years.
In this section we will post updated information regarding the redevelopment to keep you current with the facts.
